இறுதிக் கட்ட யுத்தத்தின் போது இந்தியா எமக்கு உதவிகள் செய்தது. அதனை மறக்க முடியாது. இந்திய நாட்டுப் பிரஜைகள் எமது நாட்டுக்கு வந்து போகலாம். ஆனால் உள்நாட்டுப் பிரச்சினையில் தலையிடக் கூடாது என்றார்.

The disciplinary committee appointed to look into the tying up of a Samurdhi official by deputy minister Mervyn Silva over the dengue eradication programme, stated that the minister was found not guilty as there was no evidence against him. In addition, the disciplinary committee said that the minister had done nothing wrong in terms of party discipline.

 A section of the Buddhist clergy from Gampaha are preparing to hold a convention in Colombo to urge the government to reinstate former Deputy Minister of Highways Mervyn Silva to his government post. 

Accordingly, the conference will be held on Friday and the clergy are preparing to submit a signed petition to President Mahinda Rajapaksa following the conference, sources close to the former Deputy Minister told Daily Mirror online.
